Where did you mount the switches? Mine was delivered today. I'll be installing this weekend. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to use the bracket for the switches that came with it, or put them in the side of the console. I think the console would be clean but also more of a pain in the *** if I had to remove the tank.
Looks great! Did you pull the rear wheel to get behind the splash guard for the install? Hoping to start my install tomorrow, if the dang UPS guy would not have delivered mine to the wrong house!!!

No all you have to do is remove the splash guard theres plenty of room to work if you just do that

You don't need to remove the splash guard or pull the wheel at all... If the OP removed it (splash guard as stated) for install ... he sure wasted his time....lol.
He might be talking about the plastic splash guard behind the oil tank.
That's all I removed to have access to mount mine and make routing the wires up through easier.
Mounting to the console shouldn't require you to remove the tank - in fact it should be easier. The hardest part of that would be drilling the holes... I'd love to have done that, and may get up the courage to do so at some point as I think that is the best place for the switches.
The horn location isn't bad though, as it is accessible but protected as I'm sure JD intended.
Congratulations on the install, and as the others have said just wait until you get a chance to test (and enjoy!) them out!
