Phantom, very good question. I will forward it to Aaron and see what his response is. You know out of all the systems out there, I was going with Progressive, but the lack of response to any of my questions made me not want to go with them being any foreseen problems and warranty issue's. I couldn't imagine if you had an issue, and they never responded......
Hi,
Don't mind if I dig this thread up do ya....
I should point out that anyone considering getting the L2,Cycle Controls or AirFX single unit shocks will have to remove the shocks to change the transmission fluid !?!?! The drain plug for the tranny is in the middle of the rear shocks it is on my '07.. Is it the same on other years? If so that's nutz.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I think the best air ride suspension will be diffierent for every consumer. No one product is alike even if the picture does look the same on the box. Best you can do, is do your research and find a product that works for you! Still satisfied with my suspension system.

You can still change the tranny with the AIRFX system the tranny plug is between the struts like a stock setup.
Guys I have tried them all, including the new SAS from Climax, and it's them or Platnium for me, I have sold over a 100 (platnium)sets and have gotten one back and that was before it was even put on the bike, and I replaced it with a legend cause that is what the customer wanted. I run platnium on my road glide, on my chopper, and got one set back for a softail Harley bobber I am working on. I just know the Platnium guy really well, he always takes care of his products, the downside is his instructions suck, but then again, it seems really straight forward to me, but maybe that is just me. I am supposed to see a new air ride that a company is going to show me at Sturgis, so I will know more after that. I can say this, if the SAS system holds up as well as their climax controls do, it will be a great system. If you want either one, I will save you some money, and I will stand behind either's product, and if it dont work, send it back, and I will pay the shipping, no restocking fees or other crap. I just have a ton of confidience in both companies....and I know their stuff is first class.
Hey There,
I have an 07 softail deluxe and just installed Shotgun Shocks Air Ride System. The system is self contained and has one air line. No leak system. The bike rides really nice up or lowered.I normally ride 2 up with my wife and she likes it better than stock. The system feeds air up and down so you can controll the rebound.
If you have a chance to check it out or have any questions please feel free to call J.D. @ Shotgun Shocks(323) 359-4914
Legend Suspensions has a LIFETIME warranty. I see you have had some issues in the past. Depending on the age of your system there are upgrades available for FREE through Legend. Warranty and Tech services have changed over the years. Though most problems I've seen posted are from improper installation, Legend does not care and will back the product. I suggest you try reaching them direct. I've had WONDERFUL service and ride quality improvement.
