Default cerwin vega b4 amp

just installed the cv b4 today. it is a class d amp and I so far have had no problem with fm signal loss. im using kicker 40cs65 front and kicker 40cs54 in rear, this set up sounds great imo. I have good bass to considering the size of speaker. I had hertz dcx 165.3 up front but they could not produce the bass like the kickers can. I mounted the amp on top of cb using double sided tape and a foam block in the space beside of the cb to hold amp up. the fit is tight but it will fit, just watch your wires. hope the pics help

Is it just me, or does his power and ground wire to the amp look a little to small of gauge(pic 3). I would run at least a 10ga wire for power and ground to that amp.

+1 that is 14AWG AFAI can determine with my reading glasses on LOL

to OP - please confirm your power lines... we do not want your bike to lit up at the front or you getting stalled in the middle of the desert or wherever you ride... run 10AWG as minimum... preferably +12V and Ground both to the Battery and fuse as close to the amp as possible on the +12V line.
although most amps do work "fine" with ground connected to the chassis/frame, I would strongly recommend to run directly to the battery.

Power wire is now 10g and is groud to battery. In the pic the power wire is kind of small but tied into the 10 g wire. The fuse however is close to battery for easier access. This is a great little amp with plenty of clean power. I recommend it highly. I got it a great price from sonic ,in fact I got the last one before they increased the price. I may decide to up grade the speakers later with some with more RMS. But for now I'm pleased with the set up especially for the money tied up. Just shy of $400. And NO fm signal loss.Next project will be head unit. Thanks for all of the input and comments.

just my 2 cents - the powerline needs to be 10AWG from beginning to end. soldering lesser AWG lead to 10AWG will still create a risk of overheating...
