Looking to upgrade the stock system on my 2014 SG -- specifically, I want to stick with two front fairing speakers and an amp. I have read many of the posts here, and many deal with more extensive set-ups. I do not plan to upgrade any further. (Don't laugh.) Really. And I would prefer not to remove parts from the fairing and have everything fit without much tweaking.
It appears as if the J&M and Biketronics systems are highly regarded. The much-maligned Boom system, for the configuration I am considering, also looks good on paper.

Thoughts?
This set up is probably the most user friendly on the 14's
as Gann mentioned, the infinity's are one of the best choices.
But then again, there are many others out there.
try to read up a bit on the forum, we all had to go thru that exercise
It's a great amp. They really drive my Kappa 62.11i's. I may be willing to sell mine I've had since May. I'm contemplating making the leap to a 4 channel amp and put 6x9's in my saddlebags.

go for it see my sig what I am running and I LIKE IT...
I just upgraded to a JM 500 watt 4 channel amp and their 5 x 7 lid speakers along with their fairing speakers and am very pleased. If you are patient you can find some deals like I did. I saved almost $ 300.00 on the amp alone, and another $ 100.00 on the lid speakers (all brand new).
I am happy with my set up. RF PBR300x2, Infinity Kappa 62.11i's, and magic box.
It's twice as loud as stock and crystal clear. Not much bass, but it just isn't going to happen on a bike.
I am all in at $360.
You mention not wanting to remove parts....sorry but you will have to remove and reinstall the pods no matter what you do (unless it's the BT kit).
Don't bother with BOOM....
hate to partially disagree there... agreed - not while riding and/or with the mentioned setup, but trust me when "sitting still" my bike thumps if I want it to....
