Just installed them on my bike wow. They are so loud and clear its crazy. I know some of you have been looking into them so I told you when I get them installed I will let you know .I wish I would have done this a log time ago. I fader all the way to the rear and went down the road at 70 could hear them pretty well then I faded the front and back to 0 and it was like having a concert on the bike at 75mph. I hate rap but. I downloaded some big smo and the bass is great. That is hickhop. Country rap. I am thinking about getting another pair for my other bike. I paid 550.00 for the lids and speakers well worth the money. The lids look really nice on the bike. Still have to get them painted but after seeing them I am going to spend more and do a custom paint on them. I am going to buy pioneer's tomorrow and plug them in to see a difference. I will let you know more when I can.
good to hear you like it... let us know your verdict.
Pioneers WILL pound harder (Bass), pretty sure. BTs will probably have a better mid and high definition.
I took the plastic ring off the Pioneers and grind away the the metal "standing up" edge around the 4 mounting holes on the speakers so I did not had to remove the plastic tabs in the HT lids... Believe others just bolted the speakers in without an issue. I did not like the way they were sitting without any mods.
don't discount the BT speakers for bass either. The determining factor for me in choosing them was simply the bridged tweeter and sealed cone but man was I surprised at how much bass these things pounded out with some decent power behind them.

That ain't no sh*t I have a friend with those speakers running them off a soundstream TN2.600D and next to my pioneers I can't hear the difference!! Power is the key for sure!!
I am only using BT 4 Chanel amp . I would think that is snuff power .
Oh yeah for sure! The BT 4180 good to go for those speakers. I guess my point was before my friend got the soundstream (at my suggestion) lol, he was trying to run those BT speakers off a PBR300x4 and the difference is nothing short of amazing! Like NUTZ said the BASS comes out with more power.
Just installed pioneers . I have to say the BTs are clear and has better highs.the pioneers do have a little more bass . sitting still I can tell the difference but going down the road I really can't tell. I think the bts are a little louder. Safe to say bts are going back in. I paid 88.00 for the pioneers. I guess they will go in the other bike for now.
Did I mention I looked in my mirror when I turned the stereo on and I looked like the joker.I can't get that smile off my face.
LOL. . . I think we have all had that Joker look at one time or another. Yeah those BT's are going to be louder @ 94.5 sensitivity. Sounds like your having a good time switching those speakers out. . . Be careful. . . Next thing you know you'll have 6 sets of 6 x 9's sitting on your shelf . . . Ask me how I know. . .lol
Lol I already have 1 BT amp on the shelf 2 hu and 3 sets of speaker's. But after all that and 3500 later I think I am happy only time will tell. I just hope I don't get the bug for lowers . I think I will if someone would make a pod for 7.1s. After writing that We will see what winter brings.
