You're Golden! I see you have been doing your homework. No problem with the 2/4 ohm difference. The X2 is 2/4 ohm compatible. Only issue that I see is one you have already thought about. The rear pods will over power the front unless you turn the gain way down. That X2 and those Kappa's get VERY loud. On the other hand the 7.1's will sound ok with the X2 but they will be a little underpowered at 4 ohms. But as you stated. Great starting point!
Do you think I should just go with all 4 Kappa's for now, and the two 300x2? How's the bass? Will the 7.1 put out more bass?

Oh yeah. . . The 7.1's will produce more bass but again you won't get what you are looking for pushing the 7.1's with the X2. Those speakers require plenty of power. To your point I would just go with 4 infinity's for now. They sound decent in the bass department for 6.5 in speakers. The majority of your bass is going to come from your 6 x 9's which you will only hear while the bike is sitting still. Going down the road at 75 MPH you will love the 4 infinity's up front.

not to agree or disagree with this but simply sharing my opinion. I have installed plenty of the 7.1 and pbr300x2 combinations and that amp is more than enough to drive those speakers efficiently and to a volume that will make your ears bleed.

Holy **** Nutz!. . .Maybe I'm all screwed up on my set up. I've not been able to get the Titan II's or the 7.1 ones to hit hard with the X2? They hit much harder with the power acoustic RZ4.2000D and the TN4.900. Don't get me wrong they sound dam good with the X2 but much better with the previous amps I mentioned. What the hell am I missing?
just jacking with ya.. I dunno man.. I put them all in the same way.. amp, speakers, sometimes a aftermarket head unit, 10ga power and ground, 16ga speaker wire, wrap the speakers in poly, set the gains, and I'm done. Now I will say this and not sure what you're using but aftermarket head units using 4v RCA outputs on this amp is best at least as I've found it to be.

Ahhhh The one's I've done had the stocker. These guys around here are all gun shy about putting an aftermarket unit in their bikes due to the weather. Hard core marine rated stuff. . . .You know the type. I always tell em to get on the forum to see what other guys are doing and of course they don't do it. These guys don't want any labor pains. . . They just want to see the baby. . . lol I'll keep that in mind about the HU next time I set one up! Thanks Nutz!
Just finished riding this year going 15,000 miles with the SS PN4.520D amp and Polk MM651's. Thanks to help from UN it is all in all a great, great setup but.......... I really miss my FM reception, especially on local rides during Brewer and Packer game days. Yes, I can stream from cell phone but that isn't as reliable as the old-fashioned radio plus I tend to run out of data fast.
So, what are the current amp recommendations that don't interfere with FM radio??
