I have the pbr300x2 now pushing hertz 6.5 140w 4ohm. I just got the hogtune lids with hogtunes 6x9 200w 2 ohm speakers.
Can I or should I use the pbr300x2? Will it be sufficient?
Thanks
all depends on what you are "expecting"...
give it a try I would say - you will obviously not be able to fade....
put the HT parallel to the Fairing speakers...
you are roughly looking at 70-80W per speaker (depending on your birthsheet). should be "enough"...
Can you use it? YES. Should you use it? Hold the phone!! As AAWAV said. Depends on your expectations. If it were me I'd take a look at swapping out those hog tune 6 x 9's. Much better 6 x 9 options out there. To keep it simple I would sell the X2 and go with the SS or the PA per AAWAV's suggestion or just buy another X2. Running 2 ohm and 4 ohm speakers in parallel off a two channel amp is not going to work out.

I STAND CORRECTED.... thought both speakers were 4 ohm.
4 ohm and 2 ohm parallel on the X2... NOPE, I would not do it, unless you are playing low volume ().
get the SS or PA, sell off X2 (and as Gann stated - the HT speakers; replace with f.e. Pioneers or other ones mentioned on this audio forum).
