Well, got the replacement amp in today. Installed it, and same thing. Power light does not come on, amp doesn't power up. Swapped the old plug out for the new one that came with the new amp. Checked voltage at the plug yet again, 12.45v on the power wire and 11.7v on the remote turn on wire. Checked continuity from the plug ground to a known ground source and it's good. Checked voltage to the same ground and have 12.35 and 11.6 respectively. This was checked with audio input and output disconnected, I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Check if amp light up when connecting to car battery.no audio source or speakers with simple wire As no signal it will not use any significant amperage. At least you will know amp will power on.
One problem solved. As mentioned earlier I checked voltage at the plug and read 11.7 on the remote in wire. The way it's wired is the remote from the head unit goes first to the RZ amp's remote in. There's a remote out terminal on the RZ that was wired to the second amp's remote in. I moved the wire from the remote out and put it under the same screw as the remote wire from the head unit and it powered up. I can't account how moving the wire would have any effect since it had voltage on it but whatever.....it's working now
