Default In a bind - Arc Audio MPAK3

I finally got around to installing this setup from Arc Audio. It went fine and it sounds really nice. All is good!. Except when I went to put the out fairing back on. It wouldn't go on like it used to so Ive moved things around as much as possible to make room. Is it because the head unit on an 04 UC is so big? I finally got the top and side bolts in but the lowers will not line up. Has anyone delt with this before? I think its hitting the AMP on top of the radio. the crossovers are in there and out of the way as far as I can tell. Do I need to consider moving the amp to the rear of the bike? or getting a smaller amp? OR should I replace the stereo? Assuming a new one would be half the size in height.

Thanks guys

Amp size is fine. . Goes in the fairing all day long. My suggestion would be to replace the stereo to an aftermarket or move the amp to another location. Do you have a CB on top of your radio?

The problem with the pre 06 AutoSound models is the CB is built into the head unit making it much larger than later models. Although I don't have any hands-on with this particular head unit/amp combo I would venture to say that it would fit fine. I've installed the PBR300x2 in a few of the pre 06 models without issue and the amps are almost identical in size.

You might need to shuffle your wiring harnesses around in order to slide that amp back far enough and make sure your crossovers are not what's causing your issues.
