I'm going to add a 2nd Cerwin Vega AMP to my set up. I have an 09 Ultra. I currently have a Cerwin Vega B4 installed under the front fairing. Right now I have Kappa 62.11i's in the upper fairing and Infinity 612m's in the lower fairing running of B4 AMP. I have a Cerwin Vega B2 which I want to install for the Kappa 693.11i's I have installed in the saddlebag lids. I'm concerned if I mounted the B2 AMP under the fairing I will lose what little FM signal I do get. Can I mount the B2 AMP in one of the saddlebags or would heat be an issue when the saddlebag is full of stuff? My wife and I do a number of long weekend trips so there are times the bike is fully loaded. Also, am I better on running both front speakers (upper and lower) off the B4 or should I change around what speakers are running off which AMP? I assume it doesn't make a difference but want to get the smart people's input.

If the B2 is going to affect the radio signal it won't matter where you mount it. In my experience the amp either affects the signal or it doesn't. Since you carry a lot of stuff with the wife I would just mount it in the fairing using the hog tunes bracket. Running the upper and lower speakers with the B4 is good. That B2 is going to make those 6 x 9 infinities jump out of the saddlebags! lol Great set up!
Jerry I've gotta know...what did you use for grills on your 62.11s in the lowers?
2010 Limited with some stuff!!
I put Infinity 612m's in the lower fairing. I wanted to go with a marine grade speaker as I wash the bike often plus get caught in the rain various times. Here is the speaker I went with.
Bates, I'd bet those grills would fit your 62.11i's
You may be right. I'm gonna look at using 2 spacers behind each speaker and see if the 62.11 grill will fit it then and be flush. If not I'll figure out something.

Bates - The CVO grills are a little expensive but they look really nice in that location.
I don't mind buying them if I know for certain they'll fit.

Lol. . They will fit. Ask me how I know. All jokes aside I don't recommend anything I have not tried on my bike or someone elses. If they don't fit I'll personally send your money back. Gan customer service at it's best!
