I am taking advantage of the group buy and upgrading my speaks to the BT7.1. I don't have an amp picked out yet but seriously considering the RF PBR300x2. Curious on the thoughts on this combo.

Short answer, Yes.
If you're talking the regular 7.1's and not the pros the 300X2 will drive them but you will leave the amp very little headroom. If the 7.1s were 2 ohm no problem but the RF like every amp puts out less at 4 ohms. Another amp to consider that's in the same price range and will give you a little more at 4 ohm is the Cerwin Vega B2.
LM- thanks for the feedback. It doesnt sound like a good combo, perhaps the PBR + Kappas. Or Upgrading to the BT2180 amp with the BT7.1 would be better combos. The cerwin vega amp doesnt appeal to me because i dont want to lose my FM.
I am just wondering if the folks out there that are running the PBR300X2 with the BT7.1 are happy with their choice or not.
I have a 2012 SG with factory audio. I just want to upgrade to the next level. Looking for the best combo of quality vs cost while maintaining FM.
Read somewhere here about PBR's getting Hot? Kidding....
surprised no one mentioned the Biketronics 2180 for just the speaks in the fairing. More than powerful amp for his setup, plus never gets hot to worry about. Good luck SG515.

Best combo of quality vs. cost without losing your FM is going to be the PBR300X2 and the BT71 combo. Some guys are happy with it. Some guys are not. Those not happy upgraded to the BT2180. Only your ears can judge. Most guys in your shoes eventually end up with the BT2180 or the BT4180 for expansion. Pay me now pay me later.
Thanks for the input Gannicus your input is great reassurance I spent some time around the forum and came to the conclusion that a bunch of guys are running that setup With great satisfaction.
The biketronics speakers arrive tuesday but its going to awhile til the get installed - Ohio has recently relocated to the Artic Circle.
I started out with the RF300x2 and Polk speakers and wanted more so I have saddle lids coming from Harley and my new goodies from Biktronics sitting here waiting- 7.1 fairing, 6x9 for the lids and the 4180 amp for the power along with the Sony head unit.
