If you are doing the plug and play I would have to say Biketronics. I try not to bash but any of the HD stuff is way overpriced and not as good and the JM stuff well I'm sure you have seen and read the issues there. Plus while it can get loud the sound quality isn't really there when you you turn it up. I've heard it first hand. If you are building there are several options you can go with. I'm personally a big Hertz fan and would go with with the SPL Show series SV165.1 and the ST25's for your speakers. If you do just make sure you get them from a authorized dealer. Because of their popularity they are the most bootlegged speaker out their. As far as amps either the JL HD or XD series or the Alpine PDX series amps are some of your more popular amps from a build standpoint. But there are others that will do the trick as well if you want a smaller footprint. IF you decided at a later date to do 6x9's in the lids either the Hertz HCX 690's or Kappa Infinity. Just a few options for you. Good luck on what you decided to do.
