Has anyone had any experience with the Dirty Bird Concepts 6X9 speaker lids? I recently purchased their 4" extended bags and rear fender and to my dismay once I got everything mocked up and went to install the lids I found that the Hogtunes lids will not work with these bags. The shock hump is more pronounced and the speaker mount hits it.
Yes the stock lids work. I pulled the speaker and grill out of one of the Hogtunes and I can see where the side of the speaker mount is contacting the shock hump. The hump in these bags are wider and a bit deeper than in the OEM bags. I'm not crazy about the look or cost of the Dirty Bird lids but I know they will fit the bags and it does look like the speaker is pointed toward the rider a little more. Just curious as to whether anyone has had any experience with them.
How was the fitment on the lids to the bags? The 6X9 speakers mount up with no issues? There was quite a bit of mock up with the bags and fender. Financially I am unable to get the lids now so I have the bags mocked up to the OEM lids and ready to send out for paint this week.

I would return the Hogtune Lids, you will find there is a defect in them. My Hogtunes Lids fit exactly the same as stock lids.
There is nothing wrong with the Hogtunes lids. They fit perfectly on the OEM bags. It is the difference in the OEM bags and the Dirty Bird extended bags. The shock hump is about an inch and a half wider and protrude farther into the bag than the OEM shock hump. On a side note the bags fit much better around the reservoir on the Bitubo shocks.
Kesean answered my question. Thanks
