I have a 2015 Streetglide special with fairing speakers only. I installed the new Boom Stage II speakers and 4 channel amp. The dealer flashed the head unit before I installed the speakers and amp. I went back to have the amp flashed and it keeps aborting the update.
I have been to three dealerships and they can't seem to figure it out. The amp is installed correctly and has power. The sound quality is worse than sock. My understanding is that the amp needs to be flashed to reset the EQ curve to maximize the new speakers....
The flash needed for there Boom stuff is completely different from aftermarket equipment. Sounds like the dealers and the MOCO are clueless on both accounts. They can't even make there own over priced stuff work correctly. The only ones that can help you are the people behind the HD Digital Tech.
Good luck and let us know how it works out.
Make sure your dealer has the latest download for their computer. I had the system installed last week and my dealer had the same issue. They finally figured out they needed to update their own system. Once they did that the Stage II amp download worked just fine.
