Hawg Wired System Acting up
So I dug into a system today on a recent new purchase. Its an 07 SG and the guy before me had a ARC Mini amp installed along with some Hawg Wired 6.5's. Guy seemed to have done a good job everything was soldered and was cleanly installed. Anyways, the crossovers had what looked like insulation inside the cases and were getting really hot (to where some of the plastic housing was melting). My issue is that my left speaker was cutting in and out so I tried to switch the speakers around and now I am only getting good volume from the left and the right is extremely quiet. The amp is set at about 110 on the crossovers, high output, and minimal bass boost. I ordered new cross overs from Hawg Wired and hoping this will solve my issue but if anyone has experience/advice please let me know.

It happens. if you're fairing is still off you can GENTLY push on the main cones and see if they are smooth or they feel 'scratchy'. If it is then the insulation on the coils has melted and you're done [with that speaker].
I had a set of Hawg Wired 5.25 blow and upgraded to the 6.5" set. I should consider selling the DCS amp and replacement 5.25 set...
