I think I'm ready to make my purchase. Thinking about going with the biketronics setup. Just going to run the fairing and tourpack speakers on my 2010 ultra classic. So do I go with the 4 channel amp or would the BT 2180 be good enough? Will I lose FM signal with either one? Will the fader control still work? This is good chunk of $$ and want to make sure I will be completely satisfied. Thanks in advance.
What speakers will you be using? That's important concidering we would need to know how much power they can handle.
It's been awhile since I have played with the factory head unit, I can't remember if it has a balance left to right? If it does then you could run the front speakers off of the left channel and the tears off the right channel to achieve a fade control. However you may loose the stereo effect.
My vote would be go for the 4180. Assuming your going to use speakers that can handle the power. With that said the 2180 would do a good job also but your fade feature may suffer.

No L/R control on stock HU.. I concur on the 4180 - If you can afford it, buy it.. because you will end up buying it at some point if you settle for something less..
Placed my order with Bill at Biketronics yesterday. Decided to go with the 4180 amp, 7.1 fairing speakers, alpine tourpack speakers, and the Kenwood head unit. Can't wait to get this hooked up !
