If I have the bike on or running and sitting still all is well. Put it in gear or go for a ride and the head unit shuts down. Help please..........I'm out of ideas
Also my bar control module is proving to be a PITA

Trade your 2V Sony Mex 4000 out for the 5v Sony Mex-M70BT. If the PAC is becoming a PITA I have the Hawg wired unit I purchased for $140 I'll sell you cheap. Works flawlessly but the guy I bought it for had purchased the BT unit at the same time and he wanted to keep his AVC. So I have an extra unit that I'm not using brand new still in the box.

Thank you for the offer on the module, I actually got the PAC to work so that is all good.
Is the fact that my 4000 is a 2v causing my issue?
I wouldn't say it's the 2v causing your issue but I would say there is an issue with the HU or the connections to the HU. You figure if there is no issue when the bike is sitting still and as soon as you take off the vibration from the bike is most likely causing the issue. I would check my connections first and work my way back to the HU. If the connections are all good. I would replace the HU.

I figured it was a ground issue but I think I have it grounded very well so I am going to check all the other connections and most likely swap out HU. I guess I will be needing a new vapor barrier from Biketronics.
Are your connections twisted, soldered, or crimped.
The connections are twisted with nuts and taped. I am going to crimp connectors on all the grounds tonight and see if that helps. I talked with the Biketronic folks and they think the ground is the issue and the best place to start.
