Default Lower Fairing Speaker Kit

Any recommendations on a lower fairing speaker kit for a 2013 street glide? Also, do I need to buy a separate speaker pod for the lower fairing or can I just simply use an adapter to fasten 6.5 titan speakers to the glove box openings? Any help will be appreciated.

you'll need CVO speaker pods. they're inexpensive at about $40 each but need to be painted unless you order them painted.

Matuza and Fairing Factory make good solid aftermarket pods also you might want to look into.

The speaker pod will replace the entire glove box assembly.

Are you using the stock head unit? Your new speaker choice needs to match the impedance of the head unit or amp if you're running one.

Yes, using the stock head unit for now. The plan is to upgrade to a Sony or Kenwood stereo, not decided on which model yet. And the speaker impedance does match the amp. BT equipment.

Right now researching lower fairings and speaker pods. Found some on E bay and Amazon. Probably will add the Titan 6.5 in the lowers.

I did find a video on You Tube showing how to install speakers to the glove box without speaker pods, just some drilling and adding speaker rings to the glove box. Not sure if this is the best way to go.

Did this as a winter mod last year, used CVO Box and Grills. Very happy with BT 6.5 in lowers. Sounds great. Good luck

Default great sounding project

I just started this same setup and I have a 2013 street glide too.
I bought the Kjet lowers off amazon with hardware, than found for 85 Matuza On ebay. I am installing the pods and titans today. Matuza have the same crinkled fifnish the Kjet lowers glove did look to be little taller by about 1/4 inch or less.

What speaker grill options did you guys use?

I had Bill ship me some HAT grills . looks like I need to shim the up if I plan to use them in a stock configuration. I removed the grill by itself and it fits inside the pod but I need a clean way to mount it. Ideas?

Default project done

Matuza didn't fit the Kjet lowers very well, But finished look was ok.
I used the Hat grills and a 5/16 spacer between grill plate and speaker and screwed it down all nice and snug. so without mods to HU this is about as good as a stock hu can get.

So what is the total cost for the lower fairings and speaker pods? If I understand this right you went with K Jet Lowers and the Mutazu Speaker Pods?
