I say order it. From my view (in a Batwing), the Jensen's display is usually very readable. The biggest issue I seem to get is reflection off the tank console's chrome that ends up obscuring the clock (the clock display on the Jensen is small, and situated in the lower right-hand corner of the display window...conveniently, right where the chrome reflects the most). And when it's in direct sunlight, the display seems to work just like the HK unit: it washes out the background and the text display becomes nice and crisp. I would suspect that even in a Road Glide fairing, the display would be pretty readable. As for "issues", the only thing I can really think of is I'll have an occasional blast of "noise" from my iPhone- it's kind of a loud "screech"-, but pushing the power button on the faceplate off then back on resumes normal playing. Not sure what that's about- if the USB extension cable, Lightning cable in the TP or cable from the head unit is the contributor, or if it's the deck or my phone- but I put about 7500 miles on the bike this summer (calm down- I suffered a heart attack in July, and I have a job that doesn't always allow riding to/from work!!), and the issue wasn't TOO common that I'd want to yank the deck.

And if Ultra comes through with a $350 source, then that's even MORE reason to get this deck.

I got it off Ebay for $300. I couldn't pass it up. I read all the reviews and put it in with the Fosgate amp and JBL speakers. I think it works awesome. Screen washes out in sunlight but Ultra already stated the angle of the Road glide fairing causes this issue. I don't think its that big of a deal. I never used the AVC anyways, all in all I am very happy with the stereo. I have also been caught severe downpours with no issues what so ever.

Well, I ordered the Jensen. Also ordered the SiriusXM SXV300v1 kit so I will have satellite. Will report back next week once it's installed.
