Default Hertz install

Hey guys I'm getting ready to install a set of Hertz in my saddlebag lids. Does anyone have any experience with whether I'll be needing spacers or not? The speakers are 6 x 9, the HCX690's. I thought I read somewhere that spacers would be needed due to the foam padding on the perimeter of the speaker

they are Bad Dad lids and the speakers will be attached from underneath, not dropped in. I am searching for information concerning the need for a spacer, the timeframe is tight to get these things installed as im going to Tennessee next week. Speakers will show up three days before departure and I want to make sure im ready to get them installed. If I need spacers then I gotta get them ordered....
