I did not mention the pop because I switched out head units 3 weeks ago and the pop turned to a tick. I also have 2 other friends running the 2180 who have the same pop noise on start up, one has changed his head unit and the pop went away.
but now that we are trying to figure out what causing all the speaker issues starting to think maybe it has to do with the pop noise..

and add this..

You don't want to use one of these. I'll send you one if you want to try it out, I have two here at the house. They act as filters and you will filter out lots of good sound trying to eliminate any ground loop buzz/hum.

Where is your remote connected to? If it's a the headlamp, try connecting to your radio. The delayed remote from your radio may turn things on in order and eliminate the "pop".

Do you also have a ground loop noise as well? If you have your volume at zero is there a hum/buzz? If so, take bare wire (speaker wire works fine) and wrap it in a figure 8 around your radio RCA's and then ground that wire to bolt on the radio.

no buzz or anything like that it just pops one time on start up.....if I have the ign on it does not pop till I hit the starter...the remote wire is hooked to the radio now.

I give.....need help....

I got the new 7.1p and I got it back in the bike now the "tick" is louder and it does it when I shut the bike off..

I really think its a ground issue now but have no idea just guessing.

the ground for amp is the way it should be (back to battery) but I wounder if its the ground for the radio? BT had me run a ground strap from back radio to neck but I thinking maybe the radio ground going to the Bt hand control might be wrong? so the radio ground wire is soldered to the Bt module is that correct?

I have issue sometimes when I go to turn radio down (mostly after longer stretches) when I look down at radio its flashing the the mode its in...so if I have it on usb it will be in the mode to switch to sirius,fm,bt audio,bt phone it does this alot I have dealt with it usually just by ejecting the face plate and then restart radio

when I turn the radio up and down when it goes from 1 to zero there is a slight tick\click

thinking this ground point is the issue. where does the ground in the bike harness go? battery or frame? if the frame then that make a "ground loop"?

I soldered everything so there should be no issue of loose connections

thinking pulling trigger on set JL audio
I had two pair of blown biketronics speakers 7.1p. Both replaced under warranty.

I was done trying to trouble shoot. Replaced them with Focal KRC. Huge difference.
