Default Amp advice needed.

After reading an ungodly amount of threads on here i have came to the conclusion I am going to purchase the Arc Audio moto 602's for the fairing of my 2015 street glide. Now I'm trying to decide what amp to run. I'm leaning towards the Soundstream pn4.1000D, but have been reading bridging that amp for fairing speakers only might be bad. The biketronics 2108 looks like a good deal since it comes with all of the wires needed for hook up. There is a slight chance for lowers to come into play in the future, but how far out that is is unknown.

So what would be a good amp to push the 602's for around $150-400 or so?

Thank you.

The PN4.1000D will require you to purchase the amp bracket from J&M as the current amp bracket the bike comes with is too small for that amp. Total cost is about 300 bucks so that still a great deal for a 4channel amp that can push that much juice.

If you are sticking to 2 speakers the Cerwin B2 is your best bet by far.

Thank you, I appreciate the advice. Anything special needed for the B2? I am guessing I'll need at least an 8 gauge power/ground amp kit. Any particulars on speaker wire?

For less than $500 this sounds like it will be the way to go.

16 gauge speaker wire and you might need a Pac SNI-35 with the Cerwin Vega if you are going to wire high level.

Default Amp advice needed.

After reading the biketronics flash pdf i have another quick question. I have not hag any updates done to the radio and i am currently running the 1.18.0. and there is an upgrade on the HD sight for 1.19.1. Now biketronics based their flash from 1.19.0, will i be ok with my current 1.18.0 or should i see if the dealership can upload the 1.19.0 or should i go with the latest 1.19.1?

This is all foreign to me.

Don't pay extra for an amp just because the wiring comes with it. You can get the factory style Molex connectors from mouser for less than $10.00 plus shipping. That's how I did mine, no need to cut the factory leads. Fronts are Molex part #33481-0201, requires 2. Rear is Molex part #33472-0401, requires 1. You also have to order the compatible pins, but they're cheap, around .05 each. I would order extras incase you mess up. It takes a special tool to extract the pins once they're inserted, but the connectors are only a couple bucks each.

As far as amp recommendations, I love the Cerwin Vegas. I had the 2 channel B2 Stealth Bomber and I liked it so much that I bought the 4 channel version when I added tour pack speakers. If you relocate the GPS antenna that amp fits perfectly snug right right above the radio. In case you're interested I have the CV 2 channel amp for sale for $85 shipped. Only used it or a year, still works perfectly.

I just got the Biketronics recommended flash and I have the 1.19.1 update. It sounds great so far. Just a quick adjustment to the amp after the flash and that thing is clear as a bell and really loud. With the Magic Box I still had distortion and the factory DSP was still throttling the music, especially at highway speeds. Now my ears are bleeding at half volume.
