Yet another change in plans. While I was sleeping I lost the bid on the HCX's. Probably good thing since I later found out that for the price and location they were coming from they were most likely counterfeit fakes anyways. So now im trying to decide on a different pair of 6.5's for the fairing.
Best 6.5 speakers out there for our bikes are the Moto 602's IMO. I've had em all in my bike. The Hertz speakers are loud but the Moto's have a richer fuller sound. There's no comparison.

Just noticed that the B52 is the replacement for the B2 and looks like the B52 got a bump in watts. Would the 200W @ 4ohm on the B52 be too much juice for a good set of 6.5's or would I be better off going with the old B2?
Also, been trying to hold off on buying speakers so I could save up to buy the highly recommended arc moto 602's but not sure if I will be able to drop that kind of coin on speakers. What would be a decent alternative to the 602's that would be a little easier on the wallet?

No problem with the B52. 200W @ 4 ohms is great! The best deal out there right now is the Biketronics 7.1's. If you pre-order from Biketronics the cost is $199. excellent price for those speakers. They would be perfect speakers for the Cerwin Vega B52.
So I decided to say eff it and spend the money on the Arc Moto 602's and a B52 amp. Any recommendations on places to get the 602's for a decent price? I don't have the option of visiting a dealer in person, so buying from someone online is my only option. Thanks again for all of the suggestions thus far. Cant wait to get this thing rockin!
Well, crap, now I read your post about the Moto 6.2's and am thinking about those with the B52 instead of the 602's. Every time I decide on something I read about something better. LOL I found some 6.2's for not much more price than the 602's. Where did you get yours?
Is the biketronics 2180 a better choice over the cerwin Vega for pushing fairing speakers only? I am also undecided about the biketronics 6.5 for a roadglide vs the moto 602s. Opinion, differences ?

Hey bro... Go ahead and get the 602's. What I've found with the 6.2's is that you almost have to bridge the amp to get enough power to em to make them sound off. They are component speakers rated @ 86 db and 90 watts RMS. Bass heavy but it takes a ton of power to make them shine. The 602's are a little more user friendly for our bikes. The Cerwin Vega B52 with the Moto 602's is an excellent combo!

Can't go wrong with either speaker my friend. I have and run them both. The Moto's have a little better bass response than the Titans but it takes less power for the Titans to get loud. The 2180 is pushing 180 watts vs. 200 watts with the Cerwin Vega B52. The only reason I prefer the B52 is because it has gain controls. Both very powerful amps.

There's a guy who sells them on eBay, his screen name is basshead. The guy is legit, I've purchased a few things from him outside of eBay. He's a audio dealer and has the best prices I've found.
Ordered the B52 amp, Sony mex-m70bt head unit, scosche head unit mounting bracket w/ hdswc1 control module, EP speaker adapter rings. Still holding off on the Arc Moto 602's hoping to find a better price than $379 direct from Arc. Also, need to get a amp wiring kit, will the 8ga kit be suffice for the B52 or should I go with a 4ga or 6ga? Cant wait to get this stuff installed. Thanks again everyone for the advice. I know I have asked a lot of redundant questions but I like to have full knowledge of what I am buying before I take the leap. Cheers!
