So i bought all the needed harness from twin audio for my 4 speaker setup,( fairing front and saddlebag rear) what I'm looking to buy is hertz hcx165 and a good amp for under 300.00 so my questions are as follows
Will my boom stage 1 saddle bag speakers stand up well with a 150x4 amp
How much power do i need to power up the hertz?
my budget is 600.oo for speakers and amp so I'm really hoping i don't need to replace the rear speakers
ps my radio is already flashed from the stretglide flash to the 4 speakers no amp flash, will i need another flash again( and not i don't want to use magic boxes)

The Hertz speakers will need at least 100 watts of clean power to sound decent. You can run the boom speakers with a 150 x 4 amp but you will have to keep the gains low and you can't turn the volume up very high. Kinda defeats the purpose. On a $600 Budget I would go with the sound stream PN4.1000D amp for $180. and purchase these speakers for the lids. Bout $330 total. The soundstream amp will give you 140 watts of clean power to your Hertz speakers and the infinity 5 x7's sound amazing with that amp. No worries on volume there.
What bike is this for? If it's s Rushmore SG you may need a mounting bracket for that amp. Even then it's still the best price for an amp with that kinda power behind it.

If its a 14+ this is the bracket you need for that amp

The stock radio is 2 ohm the Hertz speakers are four ohm. I don't think you will incur much damage to the radio or the speakers if it's just for the weekend. But it's going to sound like crap. Get an amp in there ASAP!
