Update time. The metra kit did not work out for me. It sent some signal to my bike energizing the ecm constantly and drained my battery. Pulled it and prepped for shipping back. Ordered t he bt retro kit.

I installed it, love it. Amp installed with bt module. All handlebar functions work! Speakers arrive tomorrow so install not quite done but here it is

Jester, just curious, when you pulled the stock HU was there any stickers or embossed engravings indicating who the manufacturer is? Does it appear to still be Harmon Kardon?

Ho Lee Crapola, got it running and is amazing!! The sound is clear, but needs a bit more bass. I'll do a video in the next few days as the weather is nice.

overall, Biketronics is absolutely the way to go if you want clear, loud, sound and retain the controls.

Let the speakers break in and the bass will get better, but be realistic how much bass to get from just 1 set of 7 inch speakers

What did you set your gains on the amp? Did you set the HPF? And where did you set your radio at. A few adjustments squeeze out some more bass.

Oh and sharp work!!! It looks great.

I set the gain just under half dial. Didn't see numbers. HPF? Guess I'll be taking the fairing off tomorrow. What should it be set at since I'm using RCA inputs?
Thanks for doing the link for me too!
