Default biketronics brackets

I've got my stereo system removed, pods out to replace the grills. Metra kit enough. I've got kickers in the fairing, pbr 300x2 amp,Sony mex 7 going in. My question is the brackets for the biketronics. I'm thinking of putting the 7.1s in the fairing but how necessary is the bracket? I'll seldom need to gain access to the pods again, so, what would I gain?

If u are going to put the 7.1s in then the brackets would be necessary because they won't fit in the pods

Ok, pretty much decided to pull the kickers out of my fairing and go with the 7.1's from biketronics. 2 questions now. What/how do we get the forum discount? Will my RF amp power the speakers for a while until my savings grow again to get the SS amp or the BT amp? I know the full potential requires a better amp, but can't do it all at once.

The PBR will do....but yes you really need more juice to make those speakers sing. Are you only doing two speakers? If so, take a look at the Cerwin B2 or the newer B52.

Thanks for the info. I hope to install speakers in the lowers (already installed) once I buy the speaker pods. I think the kickers will work there. That's why I was looking at the SS or BT amp. Or am I forgetting something?

hey Jester,
looking forward to hearing how it all turns out, since I'm probably doing the same setup. Don't really have an interest in putting any speakers behind me, so an extra pair will occupy yet to be purchased lowers. If you can, take pictures as you go and share.

Will do. Lowers are installed, but haven't got the pods yet. The old 4.3 is out, waiting on the metra bracket. At this point, I want to spend the money on the 7.1's but I'm hesitant to take it from savings when if I wait a week, I'll have it from free money. I'll take some pics tonight but all it will show is the fairing pods removed and stereo gone.

Chief, you're going to like the lowers speaks....with the 7.1s that system is solid. Enjoy

Awesome. Just need to purse strings to lighten a touch. Turns out that the BT speakers are out of stock until possibly tomorrow. What speakers do you have in the lowers?
