Yes Sir. . . Jumped the gun big time. lol Firstly you want 6.5 speakers in your fairing and rear pods. Not 5.25's. secondly you will not be using any grills that come with the speakers in your fairing. You will have to purchase a 6.5 adapter ring to mount your speakers. There are 6.5 speakers that will drop right in your rear pods as well. You will also need a amp to drive your speakers. Tell us what you want to do and we'll walk you through it.
You can use the mesh type grills in your fairing if you want just put them between the fairing and the adapter ring. Just did this with the JL's I got.
Ok Gannicus, my items are arriving tomorrow. The amp you recommended gets mounted where? In the fairing? Do you have any pics of how to mount it? Thanks
Okay Bro your audio is about to change big time!! The first thing you need to do when you get the amp is take the handles off of it. Two screws and the handles pop right off. Gonna take a little elbow grease to pop them off. Head to Home Depot and purchase some INDUSTRIAL VELCRO. Mount the amp on top of the radio with the industrial velcro. Push the amp all the way back to the gauges. After you tack it down it's not going anywhere. I couldn't find a pic of the RZ4.2000D but I do have a pic of the much bigger RZ4.3000D. Same concept only I used brackets on the bigger amp.
Ok Gannicus, amp and install kit arrived today, speakers will be here Friday. I took the handles off for something to do....got 1 question, what the hell is all this? Lol
Lol. . . A bad *** amp bro. You are going to need some 1.5" RCA cables and some 16 ga speaker wire, some 8 ga power and ground wire and a 40 amp inline fuse. You can purchase it locally or order this kit from amazon.
