Default Pn4.1000d input?

So I was doing some thinking about my new amp, I hooked it up with high level inputs for front and rear. I have a jvc marine unit that only has rear rca outputs and believe is 2.5v. Am I better to leave high level inputs connected or split the rear rca outputs for the front and rear on amp?

Always want to go low level if you can. But if it sounds good I'd leave it as is.

So spliting the rear single 2.5v into 2 sets would still be better then high Level?

It's still the same signal split.

Ok I will give it a try. All I will lose is the fader from front to rear.

Yes that's correct. You could also use a Line level converter on the front outputs of the head unit to convert them to rca's for the front channel on the amp and be able to retain your fade option.

I agree to use low level pre amp signals if they are available. But, IMHO, putting in an adapter, or using low level one one part and high level on another...is not optimal either. Keep in mind, we aren't putting audio systems in concert halls. So, I doubt any ones ear could tell the difference between hi level or low level inputs. There free, I suggest to keep it simple and consistent...and use all four channels from the high level amp head unit outputs.
