Been jacking with all sorts of speakers of late and my fun meter is completely pegged regarding the mother effing speaker pod in my fairing.
Very curious about feedback from you all in the 14+ sleds that have this BT bracket installed. Rattles?
Vibrations?
Is it compatible with the footprint of the various 6.5ish speakers out there?
May end up with the BT 7s but I seriously doubt that anything audio will stay in place longer than about 30 days at a time and could rally use some relief from the time I am spending with theses damn pods.
Thank you very much in advance for the honest feedback!!!!
IMO the BT brackets are a must. Those pods suck. And yes the BT brackets are pre-drilled to take standard 6.5 speakers. The brackets are not sold separately online so you will need to call Biketronics and order them. Or just order the kit.
Some have found (very few) that after installing the BT Speaker brackets the inner fairing may flex. There is an area on the outside top of the bracket that lines up with one of the pod anchors. A hole can be drilled in the bracket and a spacer install to firm it up if necessary. ROCKOUT Rocker Products came up with the idea and posted it in this thread.
I too love the brackets in my 15 SG. I do get vibrations from the bass, however, when I installed the amp I did not set the gains. So, I need to pull the fairing and set the gains on the amp.

What amp did you install? And how do you plan on setting the gains, by ear or DMM?
Ok, been looking around for a thread on how to remove those stock speaker pods on a 2014 Limited. Anybody have a link to a thread on the removal.
Thanx in advance,
