B2 vs B52...
Would love to see an actual bench test on these two. I have the B2 that powers my 7.1 pros...unbelievable! At 150w per channel, I would be hard pressed to believe that the B52 could push 200w...
Still working on the tuning. The mid's are definitely stronger but I think the post about the quick volume rise on the 4ohm / 92db speakers is a point where I'm struggling to set the gains correctly. I did install the external gain rheostat so what I did was set the gain just a bit over the point of distortion at volume 27 on my KDC-998. This allows me to bring it down below this point and start working up while riding without having to take the fairing off.
BTW: Not sure if this rheostat will cause any interference or undesirable influence to the system.

FYI -- using a distortion detector the 998 distorts right at the 35 volume mark. So in theory you should first check your distortion level of your head unit (input), then set your amp gains (output) based on the HU so that both units are matched to their highest level of non-distortion. If you are getting distortion at 27, you're gains may be too high....or you are sending freqs the speakers can't reproduce at that volume.
