Default do i need an amplifier with this set up

looking at the new aquatics system by dragonfly. it says there is a 288 watt amplifier within the unit. it sounds like that is a ton of power being my current factory setup is only 80 watts(20 per channel) HK ultra classic. i am running polk mm651's in front and rear pods. the aquatic system is very new and i haven't read much feedback on this system yet. is it worth it? does the unit power the speakers adequately? i am not interested at all in adding an additional amplifier. with the CB,XM MODULE AND Polk crossover units already in the fairing there isnt much room for anything else. i want it to be simple and functional. i am pleased with the way the polk speakers added better sound to this set up now i am looking for a little more boost. thoughts anyone?

I have the Aquatic unit and am very pleased with it although I do have a separate amp. I did not try it without the separate amp so I cannot address that. However, it sounds like you want to keep your Harley integrated CB and XM modules. You cannot do that with the Aquatic unit. All of the Harmon Kardon/Harley stuff including CB/XM/intercom come out when you install this.

just finished installing the aquatic av in my 2010 FLHTP. this included adding the handlebar control switches and buildind the 23 pin connector from scratch under the fairing. quite a project to say the least. added a tour pack and some custom built speaker pods for the rear. the aquatic seems to power both sets of speakers just fine. although i plan to add lower speakers as well in the near future which will require an additional amp. but for now it sounds great
