Default Fairing Tweeter Specs

I have recently installed a set of tweeters in two of the fairing guage holes. I think I did pretty good for a great price. If only as a test pair if they don't work out. But I'm really pleased with the results so far. After reading a few recent threads on "sensitivity", That would be my only concern. What I've got is a pair of Alpine SPR 10TW, Rated> 4 Ohm, 150w RMS - 450w Peak, Frequency response 1-29 kHz, The only thing is "sensitivity" is 88 dB ( 1W @ 1m )
If I'm understanding things right, These tweeters will peak louder faster than my BT 7.1's @94dB do, Or in other words sound like they're playing louder? Thats what they sounded like to my ear with the switch in the in-line crossover at 0. So I moved the switch to -6 and they seem to pair up better, Sound level volume wise. Which kinda makes sense to me 88+6=94. Anyways I went for a 4 hour test ride today blasting everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top and the whole system sounds great. I have a Sony MEX GS810BH with a BT 2180 amp. So if there's a question here it would be am I correct with the setting and the way I'm thinking?

Smokey,

Sensitivity works the other way around. The higher the sensitivity, the quicker it goes up in volume. My guess is the reason why they sound so much louder is because you are splitting the signal with a woofer/tweeter coaxial AND a tweeter by itself. It takes more power to move a woofer than it does to pump sound thru a tweeter.

Normally the guys running PA style speakers with horns will have a dedicated channel on an amp just for the tweeters.

Ah, Yea I thought I might be bassakwards. I was also thinking I have the rear channel speaker wires from the HU not doing anything, What if I wired the tweets to them? And not be robbing juice from the 7.1's? (Actually I'd forgotten they had a coax tweeter in them untill I changed the grills again lol.) That may be worth a try as long as I'm not going to do any damage.
