New Setup and First Impressions
I'll try to keep this short. But I'll start with what I had, Sony M50IP, ARC 2ch amp and Biketronics 6.5 Hertz speakers and controller.
Last year the ARC quit right before bikeweek and I got the Soundstream PN4.520D on here from a member as a quick fix, sounded good but lost all radio frequencies, CD was starting to skip, Ipod cable was getting a short in it, not fun.
Fast forward to Christmas this year, I got the Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS.( was looking at it and the Kenwood forum favorite)
Installed it, wow what a difference and had all FM channels!
Then the BT controller wasn't working correctly, and with this radio noticed that the Hertz speakers lost their highs (loved these speakers, treble always turned down when riding) . Called Biketronics, long story short, upgraded to the 7.1's and got a new controller. As always , great people!
I also have Polk DXI651's in my lowers, before I wasn't so impressed but now they scream!
We rode to Daytona for Bikeweek this weekend and this was my first ride with this setup.
Pros- Very full and clear, great sounding , cd player never missed a beat, Bluetooth worked flawlessly.
Cons-The HD radio goes in and out too much for my liking, sitting still it's fine. (for the Daytona trip I put the tour pack on with stock antenna)
I think I need more power,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, = )
I can't imagine you guys with the 7.1 Pro's and the BT amps!
