Default Stereo issues

I have a 2007 ultra classic. Put the battery in it yesterday and went for a ride. All was good. About two hours in , sound would turn off for about five minutes then back on for a few etc, etc. Still doing today. Odd thing though, display still showing and in acc position works fine. HELP

open up the fairings and double-check all your ground wires to be sure they're free of corrosion/tight. you could potentially have a voltage regulator issue as well (when my regulator went out, my stereo would cut in and out randomly)

You never said what head unit you have so everything is all guess work.

If you can tell the people in the forum what you have maybe someone has had the same problem and has found the cause of the problem to eliminate all of the guess work.

Probably has finally shaken it's self to death. If you want to stay stock look up iron cross audio. If you want to go aftermarket, your in the right place.

If it is a stock head unit your description is exactly what happened to my stock HU the past 3 times I had to it fixed under warranty. If you search the topic you will find a number of similar posts. On the good side I believe the HU I have now is going to be a keeper.

^^^^^^^
Yeah that! If your stock head unit has lasted this long on an 07 you've been a very lucky man! Time to fix or replace.
