Most of the good hard hitting songs get jammed up by YouTube copyright protections.
LINKIN PARK - Lyin from You hits pretty damn hard as also has some deep bass. It does not cover a wide range from note to note.
Pearl Jam has some edgy stuff with range.
Ozzy - Crazy Train also hits pretty hard and can test the range a little.
If u want to test ur bass with some of Gan and Bates panty dropper stuff, Marvin Gaye Let's Get It On will test your bass in a big way. Sounds like crap if ur not getting the thump and lows from speaks.
Santana
Stevie Ray
I want to go old school hip hop, Gap Band Early in the Morning can make your set up work pretty hard too.
The Who jams.
Oldies: Most anything from ELO, Kansas, Queen, ELP, Gary Wright (Dream Weaver), Aerosmith, Springsteen, Rush, Benatar
Newer: Disturbed, Shinedown (both bands have the best vocals, perhaps ever)
Bottom line - I use an iPod and compare my good headphones against the speaks on the bike. It's never the same, but it gives me a frame of reference for the vocals. I figure if I can dial in the vocals, the rest is gravy (especially at 80mph...)
The other question is what songs will make your system sound it's best. What songs are being used to win audio competitions? Most of the songs I hear or punchy midbass songs that don't play extremely low and highlight the midbass from 6.5's, 6X9's, and 8's.
