Default Head unit blues

Bummed here... We had snow 2 days ago and today none exists. Sun it out, it's chilly, but bearable. Go to fire up the bike, and no power to the HU (Sony DSX-210X).

I pull the fairing and don't see anything wrong. I try again, this time going to ACC mode. The HU comes up, but sounds like pure crap.

I have the Biketronics BT1002 controller as well. When I go to ACC mode, the handlebar controls work just fine.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...
Rick

Did the hu hold memory? ie clock, last song playing, etc? I would pull the radio fuse in the bike fuse panel for few min and see how it works once powered back up.

Turned out the battery was low. I hadn't started the bike in a few weeks and didn't have the tender on it. When I turned it to ON, I heard the fuel pump but the stereo didn't light up. I didn't even bother to try starting the bike, but when I did, there wasn't enough juice to turn over the battery.

An hour on the charger did the trick.

Thanks,
Rick
