Ok, finally got the RCA cables that I ordered hoping they would help with the 692's. I'm not sure if the 300watts from the B54 is too much for them or not, but I don't think they are sounding like they should. They are lacking bass and the highs just get shrill. I have the gain set to about 9:30-9:45 position and HPF around 60 Hz. I took a quick video of some rock and a little rap fading back and forth from the 692's and 602's. The 6.5's have more bass than the 6x9's, but I left the fairing off in the video so i could mess with the gains on the BT355 to the rear so it doesn't sound like it. The BT355 is at stock settings, but I have tried it either the gain turned up to increase the input signal, but it didn't seem to help the sound at all.
Your hpf is well above 60hz in the picture. .Edit watched video Rushmore hu . Get your music to the desired level and back the hpf off till you get slight distortion the take it back up slowly till the distortion isn't audible. As far as the shrill highs, that may be a trait of that speaker. This is where component sets with passive xover networks make a huge difference.
Yes. Double checked all the connections. Actually had to unwire the amp to run the new RCA's through the hole in the saddlebag, haven't made up the quick disconnects yet. That and I had to repair an exhaust leak at the muffler header connection.
1. Can you play the 6X9 in FP without it distorting? Or does it sound the same way.
2. Is you wiring in phase? Try flipping it and see what happens.
3. If you disconnect the front amp from LL and just run the rear completely off the LL does it get better.
4. Have you tried resetting your HU
2-BT355's
1. Pretty much get the same sound. Tried messing with lpf as well.
2. Should be, but I can check it. The bigger spade connection should be positive.
3. With having two line levelers, I can fade to the front and rear. I tried to show that in the video. The sound changes when fading from front to rear and vice versa.
