I'm hoping this is an easy fix... I'd say about year or so ago, I went to plug into the Aux port and when I did, the jack receptacle came loose and went back in the stereo. Fast forward, replaced the head unit, hated it, decided to put the stock HU back in. I took the cover off the HU and discovered that the jack receptacle is supposed to be soldered to the circuit board and mine broke off. So I re-soldered it, put it back together, and Aux is not an option. I took it back apart and rechecked my connections, did some continuity checks (receptacle pins to circuit board and aux cable to circuit board), and can't kind find anything wrong. I tried the reset to factory settings to no avail. Any ideas? If it's not something simple, I guess I'll be sending it off to Iron Cross audio...
Check the website Digi Key. I had the same problem and ordered new aux jack. Like 1.00 a piece so I ordered a few of them. If you've soldered the old one in, putting a new one in will be easy. Worth a try before sending hu off.
Sent a radio in for repair, fast forward came back with exact same issues.
I will never use them again.
Said they sent me the part to replace and did not get it, asked for tracking number and was told sent out without it.
Bull
I replaced the jack and that fixed it. I ordered from Tindie, ordered 3.5 MM Audio Jack - SJ-3524-SMT-TR It came on a circuit board, just heated the solder and removed it. Cost about $5 but half of that was shipping.
