Although I don't listen to FM much I found after doing my new install last night FM popped right on with many stations. Now prior I had 1 station. This is with the cheap Biketronics antenna that is just a piece of primary wire. So either my ZED amp emits no emi ( trucklite phase 7 still does), or which I think is the reason , is the 998 has HD radio. I have all stations my car gets and haven't got out of garage yet. So FM is possible with the phase 7 headlamp. Just not sure which is magic sauce. My money is on the HD radio tuner.
Perhaps. My setup has no problem with FM. I have Trucklites as well, including the driving lamps, along with an older Arc 125.2 amp under the fairing. I decided to modify the antenna brackets and go with a shorty external on my SG. Maybe I lucked out, but I can get any FM station my truck can.

Is there a way to measure EMI?

The Arc 125.2 is a class g/h amp and not class d that is normally the culprit of FM loss. Those Arc's retain FM reception.

I have no idea how you would. At work they have a bunch of shielding rooms to likely do something of the nature. Most all class D amps are known for this issue. I got lucky with my current amp.
Slyedog. Can you post link to your ZED amp? Thanks
Bought mine from this guy. Name is Andrew. I got last one but he may have more now. They are no longer being made from my understanding. Steve Mantz (ZED) Designs lots of amps for people. Was told he got tired of being a business man and went back to engineering amps for others. Andrew can direct you to one if he doesn't have it. http://www.vertexaudio.com/Zed-Audio...d-mikro-iv.htm
After putting the B52 and Kenwwod HU in I lost all my FM signal and went the satellite radio route. It'll give me something to listen to after I get tired of 2,000 songs on the thumb drive, but the audio quality isn't quite as good.

I got xm added as well. $9 mount from moco and $30 for module. $60 for 6 months but the source level does suck. Had to change amp gains to that source and use volume offset on other sources to make it work. Nice to have though.
