Is anyone using the titan amp, and if so they told me that if i run a underfairing antenna or listen to fm radio the amp may effect the reception. Has anyone ran into this problem, if so how bad is it. I dont really listen at all to my fm but would like it there for back up if satalite radio or ipod go out.
Using a hidden antenna in your fairing will reduce the range it will pick up but I think it looks alot cleaner.I would guess that I lost about 30% range by using the Tune Trapper antenna.
treeboy what are you lookign at getting maybe the biketronics retro radio kit with amp and speakers....bit of money but it would rock...and you would be able to upgrade fromthat 8track play i mean tape deck to a cd player.....
Recently installed the TITAN amp. Hardest part of the operation was removing and replacing the fairing on FLTR. Simple plug and play. Currently using J&M speakers, sound fine for my tastes.
Do Work,
I've got only good things to say about the amp, loud and clean power. I normally have it about 1/2 volume when it was cranked before. Easy to install. I'm using Polk/Momo MMC525 speakers. They push the grille out slightly but a little Gorilla glue fixed it. I can't compare them with Hogtunes but I'd run this setup again.
Hope this helps.
