Yes. There were a couple of issues with reception but they were straightened out. Night and day difference in sound quality with the 2180. BT also offers forum members a 10% discount and a lifetime warranty. If you want to upgrade later you can run four 4ohm speaks in parallel off of the 2180 as long as they are the same speaker or the sensitivity rating are very close on all four.
LMAO!! Yeah man. It's a little salty. But it's also one and done unless you plan to add more speakers in the future. Then the gloves come off! But yeah the BT2180 is one of the best two channel amps out there for our bikes for maintaining FM reception. With the Focal KRC's it's a great combo!
If you're trying to save money and keep the boss happy go all Biketronics and you will never have to spend a $ again on audio. Almost forgot, never comeback to this forum again, if you can do that you have it licked.

If you shop the Focal KRCs pretty hard and get the $300 buck price that many forum folks have gotten lately, ur gonna have a pretty hard time beating that bang for the buck.

As the title states I'd like to get some solid knowledge for the gurus on here. I'm looking to upgrade the speakers on my 2012sg. Its stock now. After reading and searching this forum I think I have a plan but I'd like to make sure. Fm reception is important to me so I am thinking
Pbr300
Infinity 6.5's
I've read that the stock head unit is very limiting so I'm wondering if the above is even worthwhile? I'd like to keep the waterproof factor and thumb controls which is why I want to stay stock head unit. Well that and trying to keep the budget low and wife happy . Thanks for any insight
I have Biketronics 2180 amp and a set of Hertz HCX165 speakers for sale if interested.
Well due to my budget I ordered the pbr300x2 and kappas. Also got an amp install kit and speaker rings. How bad is the stock head unit when using an amp? I saw a couple guys on this forum posting sub $200 head units that are supposed to be way better. I'm assuming there is also an added cost for thumb controls and a water resistant cover
