Hertz 3way Components
I have tried to find information on speakers and have found a lot or coax and 2 way component systems but not on the 3 way systems. I have been looking at Hertz Hi-energy 163 or Hertz Mille 163 system with 6.5" speakers and tweeters in the upper fairing and the 4 inch speakers in the lowers. Power it with the proper power, use passive crossovers and a DSP.
Just wondering if anyone has done this and if they feel it is worth the money.
Thanks

are you planning on adding more speakers? If not I think a DSP is overkill for a 3 way system that already has passive crossovers. I think you would be better off with 6.5 speakers in the lowers...a 4inch isn't going to get loud enough to hear on a bike going 70mph on the highway. If you had a road glide and modded the inner fairing to fit all speakers in the fairing that could possibly work....otherwise I'd be looking at another set of 6.5 for the lowers.
What amp are considering?
What amp are considering?
I have a 2011 limited and am looking to add in the rear pods and bags down the road. So a DSP in not necessary initially but later down the road it should be part of my solution. Amps are going to be decided on what speakers I end up with. I have heard the Soundz Focal speakers in a bike with an Arc Audio mini and it sounded great but, the Impedance on the Focal's is only 2ohm the Hertz are 4 so I would need a little more power.
The only complaint I had was on his bike was, at speed, there wasn't much bass. Yes I know it is hard to do at speed but, it was a 9/10 system, there is always room for improvement.
I also have heard the Hertz HSK165xl and they sound great, just wondering if a 3 way would add a more complete solution.
