Need recommendations for a quality battery. System is a kenwood HU, BT4180, BT 6x9 times two, BT 7.1 pros, and BT 6.5s. Im not running any other items that draw power.

For a direct replacement the Big Crank is about half the price what HD charges and it is the exact same battery. Slye recommended the Yuasa GYZ32HL heavy duty battery which can be found at
Looking hard at the Shoria Lithium battery. Pretty bad **** technology, but still weighing the cost benefit. Light as hell, cranking amps are insane, and for u snow birds the thing can sit for months on end and never need to be charged.
Lithium awesome if you got the coin for it and the charger for lithium. The genius seems to be the best for that. Lithium full charge is like 13.2volts iirc. The big crank is ok for a budget but I like and have the Yuasa due to the 500cca/32 ahr capacity vs big crank 400cca/26ahr. I also got Revzilla to price match the Amazon price.

has it for $250, not that much more then a stock battery from HD. And it comes in at 15+ pounds lighter. I heard they need a special charger also. Worth looking into further.

I cannot find any info regarding a special charger for this battery other than some comment that indicates the Shorai charger is the "best" for such battery.

T as I mentioned earlier the Lithium has a higher voltage than a standard lead acid or agm battery. A normal maintainer or automatic charger will not fully charge one. You need a charger that will recognize the lithium to charge it to the 13.2 volts it requires. It may be even 13.4volts. I don't remember. The noco Genius Charger is the most affordable one that will.
I have kicked this idea around quite abit. I'm wondering if a second battery wouldn't be a better solution...
Then comes wiring the damn thing...plus a spot to put it in...

Good idea, but would the stock stator be able to maintain two battery's?
