Baseman1, in post #12 you mention caulking the backer rods to seal the BT brackets to the inner fairing. Is there a thread on this? I understand the spacers, Dynamat and using quality RCAs but that one I need more info on.
I think he's referring to just the backer rod. There's on need to use any caulking. I think I used 3/4" (5/8" may do it) backer rod between the BT bracket and the speaker grill. You want the backer rod large enough so it doesn't move around and come in contact with the speaker surround. The extra bolts shown in post #12 will help keep it in place and stiffen up the fairing. Here the thread on drilling the extra holes.

I saw someone used 3M weatherstripping in another post. What did you use?
I like how deep/off set the HD grills are, but don't want to drill out the HD logo.
Hopefully these are close to the HD's as I ain't afraid to bust out some tools...
