Slye had an issue with these adapter rings. The surround on the Hertz speakers actually came in contact with the nubs inside the rings. Just something to consider depending on speaker design.
Several posted comments seem to prefer the CVB54 over the SS 1000.D
For what I am doing, likely similar performance. I suppose it will end up on the for sale boards and I will end up with have a Arc 6004 anyhow.
Or get new lids, add Arc 6004 in the bags with 6x9's and sub.
Im confused man. So you have the Arc now and want a second? Or you are wanting 2 amps? Your comparing a quality sq amp to budget amps. The b54 is half the power @ 4 ohm stereo than the Arc. If you plan to bag amp get a hdp4 and be done
I have the SSPN 1000d and a BT4180, both have plenty of power. The 4180 is a little cleaner than the 1000d , but not enough for the average person to notice. I haven't used the B54, although the specs seem a little underpowered in comparison.

Sorry to add to the confusion....
My Bad....
I have nothing now. I was just lamenting that it is never good enough, and I would likely want to upgrade in the future.
The upgrade would be to add an Arc Audio, speaker bag lids (and speakers) and a sub in the future.

That's entirely possible Bert. I've had the same issue on the $40 dollar Arc Rings. All I can say is I've done several installs with these rings and nary a issue. Can't beat em for $13 bucks.

Remove tabs, jb weld, done. Maybe Fosgate or other mfr of these will take feedback and remove tabs for models that do no need the indentation. My issue is not as the norm as the power and excursion I run isn't on a typical install. We all learn from others experiences.
