Default Audio Plan

Hello all.
I have been lurking on this site for some time doing research and reading countless threads. What a great repository for information and some really great advice.

I was hoping to get some feedback on my audio plan for 2010 glide.
Planning speakers in faring and lowers.

First, I primarily listen to to older rock / metal. Some country. Nice combination I know....
Not worried about losing FM - I never, ever use it. All MP3.
I like bass lines, more on that later.

My plan is the following.

Sony MEX-M70BT with mounting kit / control adapter.
- Like the positive comments of the display

Cerwin Vega B54 (would prefer Arc Audio 600.4 but a bit pricey for me)
- Read that this is cleaner than the SS PN41000.D
- 2ohm / 4 ohm compatible (understand that many are)
- Cost

4 x Infinity 62.11i & speaker mounting rings
- Many good reviews.
- Cost.

A couple of questions.

I have read these speakers are shy on the bass side... Feedback please.
I could be talked into the Arc Audio with a bit of a nudge....
Looking at these to retrofit my existing lowers..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Speaker-Pods...XZUpLQ&vxp=mtr

Does anybody have any experience with fitting 6.5" speakers into these lower speaker pods.

Thanks in advance.

Need pure clarity in your upper and lower fairing. Any bass will come from your lids or saddle bags and that's only while the bike is parked. The Cerwin B54 and the Infinity speakers are a good choice up front. The 6.5 infinitys fit the lower fairing like a glove. You will have to purchase the CVO grills from board tracker Harley Davidson. Part no. 76000065.

I used these a couple weeks ago for the first time. They'll be my go to from now on. Really liked the fit on this adapter.
OP don't be so quick to shy away from the SS 1000D. It's a beast of an amp.

Yes Sir SB. Used em on several set ups now and the fit and finish is perfect. Who knew? Lol
I've purchased more $40 adapters than I can count and these fit better than some of those!!

I used a cheap pair from E-bay and there was no issue with fitment at all. I think they were like $12 shipped.

As for the lowers that you have in the E-bay listing, I have those on my bike now. My review of them is that they could have a better way to keep the front and back aligned during installation. It took me a lot longer to get these lined up than it should have. That being said I am happy with them after the install. Don't forget to ad fiberfill to all 4 holes. It does help.

I put polk MM speakers into the lowers and the grills fit fine, little tight, but fine.

Good luck, it's gonna sound great!
