Well my pn4 1000d crapped out within 4 months. I am now seeking advice on new amp. Running Kenwood x998 and infinity 6x8 682 in fairing and saddlebags. This is on a 13 cvo roadglide.
Any advice?
being a 3ohm speaker this should open up your choices. you had a really powerful amp for those. even something like a Cerwin Vega B54 would get the job done. It's 80x4 @ 4ohms, so with a 3 ohm speaker it should be putting out around 106 watts per channel rms.
(4ohms/3ohms)x80 watts=106.7 watts
I was happy with the B54 while I had it. It was bridged to a few different sets of 6x9s in my lids and it was loud and clear. Decided with my new set up to try a Diamond Micro 4v2, sister amp to the B54, to see if there is any difference in sound from it than the B54. It will also be bridged, but to a set of components.

With those speakers the Cerwin Vega B54 is a good choice. If you want to upgrade from that price point I'd go with the Hertz HDP4 or the Arc Moto 600.4 in the fairing. For the bags I would go with the SS TN4.900.
