Hey Guys! I was able to get the new system functional last night with some help from Tailwind.. Now I need to get the sound tuned to properly.
Recap of my system:
2 CV B54 Amps
2 BikeTronics LL
6 Polk Audio 651MM
2 Polk Audio 691 (6X9) in the lids
Amps are set 2 2-channel and each speaker is wired directly into the Amps. I am running the Upper and Lower fairing 651s off of one Amp and the 6X9 and rear 651s off of the second Amp.
I currently have the LLs set at the neutral position (high noon on the dial).
What would be the BEST way to tune in the Amps. Also, I have NO TONE control with the Head unit, so I have to do most of it all with the Amps. I do have a software based Equalizer on my cellphone. I play my music via blue tooth to my cell phone so I have some EQ capabilities there.
I agree... I am concerned about messing with having it reflashed but might need to. I had thought that the LL overrode the tone control. I am able to dial in the sound so it is good, but not sure if I am getting the most out of it.
Try a reset? If you've not messed with the number of speakers, and still set up with no amp, front speakers? Or do you have it set up for fader, F-R? (Even though your's are in the lowers)....
Agree with JimT. Try that reset procedure for the bass and treb control.
Your flash should be fine as your sled is the baseline for the rest of us non TP folks as ur sled came with the fade enabled due to ur stock TP pods. Might be worth verifying ur current flash though.
There was some recent activity on the forum about tone control probs but forgot the resolution if other than a reset.
Found it. I think was Ragz Ultra and the thread was "Dealer Flash Adventures....."
Here was the resolution.
"so for those interested my tone control issues were due to a harness with an incorrect phase on the front channel. a few chats with Mike at BT and I'm all good to go. New harness and LL are in and bike sounds really good now. Now I just need to get in to the dealership to flashback to 0 amp and 4 speakers."
If the reset does not fix it, call Mike at BT and get some new and bench tested BT Lile Levelers overnighted.
