I have a 2015 Ultra Classic and just installed the Rockford 4 channel 100 RMS watt amp along with the Hertz 6.5 speakers. The sound blows you off the bike but not much base. Has anyone tried installing 6.5 shallow mount subs in the rear speaker pods. If so, how does it sound and what subs did you use. Earthquake makes a nice 6.6 shallow sub.

Bunker's right. You won't get much bass out of anything. I had a WoofPak sub in the tourpak, on a different bike than I have now, and it sounded great --- while I wasn't moving. As soon as I got over 45, forget it --- couldn't even feel any thumping. It was definitely for showing, and not for going. Save your cash!
we tried the Kicker 6.75" Subs pushed with 200 watts RMS each in the lower pods, could not hear them above 40 MPH. Sounded pretty good in the parking lot, if that's what your looking for

Im afraid you won't be very happy with subs man. Bass walks on out the door at about 40 mph. Its extra money that isn't well spent. If your relaxin with a group of fellow riders in a parking lot of some kind and want to show off your new bumps.. great! Anything after that.. def not worth it.
