I'm curious if anyone can speak to the differences in Hertz component speakers in regards to mid bass, highs, volume, warmth and clarity at speed. Specifically in the High Energy HSK 165XL vs Mille Legend MLK 165.3.
I left out the Mille Pro's due to seeming lackluster reviews. And considered the Mllie Legend MLK 1650.3 with neodymium magnets for weight savings, but at almost double the cost seems illogical.

Due to the fact that the HI energy line is being discontinued there are still a fework dealers that have thever HSK line in stock but not many. On the MPK Components...we have installed several of them with nothing but great response. The MLK are a fantastic set that in my opion are actually better than the Hsk. I have used them both. However the MLK do make it a bit hard to hide the crossovers because they are rather larger.

Take the covers off the crossovers and they mount perfect right beneath each speaker on the Rushmore sleds.
MLK is one of my favorite 6.5 components. Good presence!!! And fairly warm too.
Think I was running those when I posted that beastie boys vid in the Vid Sticky.

A nice video of all the changes on your bike TW
Kinda like baby picture
This is what I started with, then I grew to this.
Now Im 7 feet tall and 350lbs (Monster )
Having both mentioned sets the differences are fairly significant. The xl's are tad louder, bit more mid bass punch, tad lass low end , not as well rounded sq wise, overall very well suited for bike. The Mille Legend is very smooth and rounded, still loud bit not quite as much as the xl's, the tweeter is much more refined and the midbass is much more well rounded , but lacks a bit of punch the xl's have, but not by much. Both sets perform well. I lean towards the mlk more than the xl's, based off over all sq of the 2 sets.
